I'm such a SLACKER!

Wow.  I got absolutely nothing done the last two days.

I WANTED to get all my school stuff done.  I figured hey, I have two whole days off and not much to do so I can totally get all my work done.

Nope.  I'm totally being a slacker.  On Wednesday my parents left before noon.  I watched a couple movies, caught up on blogging and tried to take a nap.  Wednesday evening Dustin and I went back to the old apartment.  Oh my gosh.  How did we ever LIVE THERE?  It's so gross and depressing.  Ugh.  We want to try to get our deposit back but our landlord is such a deadbeat and I don't want to bother wasting my time cleaning it nicely because I honestly don't believe he's going to give us our money back.  So we half-heartedly cleaned but nothing too crazy.  I just don't care.

On Thursday Rich dropped by to see the new place.  We have so many people wanting to stop by and see it, which is exciting.  So I gave him the grand tour and then we headed out for coffee at Dunn Bros.  Matt was working and Taryn was not.  So we got coffee and then Rich wanted a sandwich from the store next door.  By the time all was said and done and I was back home it was probably 2.  And rather than do my school stuff THEN I did blog stuff, watched a few episodes of House and then took a nap.  How lame am I?

Which means that I have to do my school work in between working ALL WEEKEND.  Gah.  Why do I do this to myself!?  And my folks will be back to work on the pool and have the fireplace inspected so I have a feeling we're going to be relatively busy.  Yuck!

Anyway, a little Fill in the Blank and off I go!

1.   The strangest thing I've ever eaten is  um... yeah.  I don't eat strange things.  I guess sushi?

2.  I wouldn't be caught dead  at Starbucks.  Sorry for all those that love it but I've never liked their coffee.  Give me Caribou (for the sweet stuff) or Dunn Bros. (for the strong stuff) any day.

3.  When I am 75 I will  hopefully be surrounded by everyone I love!

4.  If I had to be named after a place I would want to be named  I have no idea.  I'd want to be named after somewhere I've actually been and nothing is coming to me right now!

5.  My name is  Krysten after... well, no one.  And my middle name is Julia which is also my grandma's middle name.

6.  My all time favorite photo is  a picture of my grandparents on their wedding day.

7.  If I could afford it I would  buy all new furniture for this new house!  I'm dying to decorate!

Happy Friday all!  To participate in Fill in the Blank Friday please go check out Lauren's blog!

Krysten Julia is really pretty! :)

Hope you get your deposit back - though I've lived in about 5 apartments and I've never got it back :( I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

I totally need to slack some days (maybe just your brain telling you you need it sometimes :)). You'll find the time! Hope the weekend goes smoothly & how exciting you no longer have to deal with old apt!

YES, sushi is for sure strange.
hope you have a great weekend!

i know EXACTLY what it's like to be somehow glued to your computer, unable to escape because blog reading is just too alluring!

(thats how i spent my thursday as well!)

Smart Ass Sara

Dude- do yo homework! :)

Friday fun fact: my cats just puked in the living room and instead of manning up and cleaning it myself- I've sent hubs an S.O.S and I'm leaving with the kids. Disgusting.

Heh...I've definitely done that to myself before too. Sometimes you just need to take a couple days to relax and do nothing. You just moved, so you have a great excuse!!

I hope you at least get some kind of deposit back. I know how terrible deadbeat landlords can be.

good luck with this weekend!
P.s. I love number 3! So sweet.

Great answers! :) I'm so glad you love your new house!! :)

ohh and naps are NOT lame.. they are fabulous!

Aubrey S.

Homework all weekend = no football. That's very sad. I hope you find a little time for some fun.

P.S. I loved Vampire Diaries. Do you think Damon's really off the deep end? What's up with the Lockwoods? I can't wait to see more of Katherine.

Savvy Gal

the strangest thing i have eaten is a grasshopper on a bet in Asia. Never again!!!!

Have you had a pumpkin spice latte? You gotta step foot into a 'bucks for one of those bad boys!

Cafe Fashionista

Sometimes slacker days are exactly what the doctor prescribed - I've been guilty of indulging in them myself quite a bit lately! :P

Dancing Branflake

I bet you needed those two days! It's what your mind and body were trying to tell you. Love Fill in the Blank Fridays!

Don't blame you for not wanting to clean up your old place. We didn't clean up our old apartment and still managed to get our deposit back. At least you're in a better & wonderful house now! :)

Cute blog! Although its hard to beleive that anyone doesn't like Starbucks!

Shelley Ann

i always seem to put off homework too! im sure youll get it done in time to have some fun this weekend!

More relaxed days are the best! :) You will have a great weekend I am sure of it! My grandparents wedding picture(s) are my favorites, AND you don't like starbucks?! Really!?

la petite coquine

Everyone needs a little time off-don't beat yourself up too badly! You did just move, after all! Just carve out a few focused hours to knock out school work and then enjoy some time by the pool!

Camila F.

I've tried to be a slacker, but I fell so guilty whenever I have something to do that I can enjoy myself!

Good luck to you, sweetie! :)
I hope you get your deposit back!

We all have days like that where we don't get anything done. You need days like that every once in a while.

That wanting to get all new furniture? NEVER ENDS. Sounds like a busy weekend. I'll be thinking of you!

oh i so wish we had the money to buy new furniture. i feel like having new, matching furniture is the last thing that will finally make me feel like a grown up. :) hope your weekend isn't too horrible with all the work. you can do it! ra! ra! ra!

You've had a busy month! I'd say you deserved your 2 days of slacking :)

it'll all get finished...it always does. and just think, you'll get to swim in a pool soon!?

I agree with you on starbucks, the coffee is just bad!! Yuck! hope you can find some time this weekend to relax

Oooh, all new furniture would be so great. I'd just settle for one new chair!

I think you can give yourself a break! You had a really busy weekend moving and cleaning, so sometimes you just have to let yourself just be lazy! Means more work in the long run, but also recharges you. :)

Have a great weekend!

The weirdest thing I ever ate was a roasted grass hopper when I was on a mission trip in Thailand. It tasted like chicken.... sushi is my fav food though!

and I bet that picture of your grandparents is super cute.

Hey I'm ALL ABOUT slacker days :) Your blog is so cute! And such a good idea with the "fill in the blank fridays". Can't wait to read more!!

I just went to Ikea yesterday so I'm dying to redecorate everything now too!

I'm not sure what my strangest food would be either. It just might be sushi as well!

Teenage Bride

I think you deserved a break!!

We too had to fight to get our deposit back when moved out of our apartment.

Oh, My Darling

good luck getting through all the school stuff!

Crazy Shenanigans

I think it's understandable considering how much you've had going on! I'm sure you'll be able to get everything done!
