Funny People Co. is an Etsy shop that specializes in of my very favorite things: headbands. She's got all different kinds of cute things to adorn your hair and the collections are fantastic, including my favorite collection which is properly named the Gossip Girl Collection.
I talked with Sophie, Funny People Co. creator, to find out a little bit more about this amazing Etsy shop.
Where did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop? I had a student once when I worked as a tutor; he used to say I was a funny person making funny things for funny people. At the time I was thinking of starting my own accessories line, so the concept was perfect; FunnyPeopleCo. was born.
What or who are your inspirations? Must say Audrey Hepburn, designers such as Betsey Johnson, Thakoon and Jason Wu, and when it comes to designing music, nature and photography get those creative juices flowing.
What are 3 of your favorite items from your shop? Oh! My faves are: the Audrey Red and White, the Serenity Baby Blue Bow Headband (Alice in Wonderland inspired), and the Demi Golden Turban Headband.
Where do you see yourself and your shop at this time next year? I see my line growing, I'd like to get a website for it and keep designing, also add some more pieces like clothes and such. And I would so love to be living in a fashion capital, NYC please?? lol.
What is one piece of advice you would give to aspiring Etsy shop owners? Be true to yourself, make what you love and don't look back. It could be a tad hard to find people to give your lovelies a home, but it is possible. Just follow your dreams, your heart and your gut.

How fun! My favorite headband is the Mary Kate Black Turban headband. It just reminds me of the headbands I used to wear when I was a kid, but much more sophisticated! :)

I only recently got into headbands. I love how they emphasise long hair while keeping it off your face. Great giveaway you got going here!
