Am I just looking for the wrong kind of guy? Or am I cursed? These are the questions Adele Harris is starting to ask herself after many, many bad dates. It seems that every man that she goes out with has either lost his manners or his mind. Just when Adele feels as if life can't get anymore confusing her sister's seemingly perfect marriage is on the rocks. So she does what any good sister would do and heads back to her hometown to provide her sister a shoulder to cry on only to run smack into Zach Zemaitis, the one who got away. Zach is still every bit the sexy man that he was back in the day but he's still the one that did her wrong. Is destiny giving them another shot or is Zach destined to be just another bad date?
I won this book in a giveaway FOREVER ago but hadn't had a chance to read it till now because the library keeps attacking me with all my book requests. I was excited to finally start it just for a little chick lit - sometimes chick lit fluff is just nice! Although the book started off slow, at least in my opinion, once Adele ran into Zach it was full speed ahead. This definitely isn't a book that's going to make you think and it's relatively predictable but as far as chick lit goes I enjoyed it. I liked Adele and Zach both as well as the smaller characters. And of course you all know by now that the way I judge a book is whether or not I find myself missing the characters when I closed the book. With this one I definitely did. So I would recommend this, especially if you're going on vacation anytime soon (and if you are, take me with you!).
