Torie, the wonderful girl that runs Twenty Five Design, let me know a little bit more about her shop, herself and why she's doing what she's doing:

Where did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop? I wanted a name that could be used no matter what I sell. I racked my brain trying to think of something creative. I don't really have a nick name and I don't have any catch phrases, so it was tough to come up with something out of thin air. One night I was thinking about what a great year 25 (my age) has been so far. That's when I figured out what I wanted my shop to be called. 25 was the year I became a mom and it has been a one of the best years of my life! I only hope that 26 will be just as good, if not, better :)

What or who are your inspirations? I love color. I love when something pops or adds flair to an outfit. The other day my mom was wearing a yellow shirt with a turquoise necklace and I loved how the two colors contrasted. Anything and everything gets my mind going. Paint on the walls, the crafts store, nature, a painting. I'm always thinking of new things to design...it's just finding the time to get those ideas created (I have an 11 month old remember).

What are 3 of your favorite items from your shop? I love my new statement necklaces. I could throw on a plain top, jeans, and one of those necklaces and it immediately changes the whole look. I also love the 1/2" cuffs. They look so pretty on a wrist and give a little femininity to an outfit. And of course I love all my headbands! They make a bad hair day not-so-bad after all.

Where do you see yourself and your shop at this time next year? I really hope to become a household name. I'd love for someone to mention Twenty Five Design and at least one person know exactly who and what that is. I hope to have my own website and possibly an assistant as well (a girl can dream right?)

What is one piece of advice you would give to aspiring Etsy shop owners? Find something you love and go for it. Don't doubt yourself. Be confident in your work and others will love it too. Find something that makes you and your products stand out from the rest. And I can't stress this enough: NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK. Facebook, tweet, blog, etc. Whatever you can do to get your name and products out there. It can be time consuming at times, but it really pays off to make those connections.
