As of yesterday at around 3:15 PM I hit just over 50,000 words.  It feels INSANE.  I'm horrible at sticking with something, especially something like this where it's pretty much just me working towards a goal where there are no consequences if I don't make it.

It feels amazing.

I'm going to continue to work on my story, which isn't quite ended yet.  I also want to go through and edit it because part of winning means that I win a free bound copy of my novel.  Pretty darn exciting!

PLUS, I reached my goal of $100 in sponsorship for NaNoWriMo.  In fact, I've gone over at $125!  Knowing that all of that money is going to help others with their creative writing aspirations just makes me so happy.
 

Although I've reached my goal, going above and beyond would be amazing.  I am still looking for NaNoWriMo sponsors. Like I said, I am currently at $125 (thank you to Tracy, Steph, Ang, Jeanette, Denalee, Katey and Aunt Brenda) but would love to raise as much money as possible.  All proceeds from sponsorships go to NaNoWriMo's parent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Office of Letters and Light to pay for their free creative writing programs in over 2,000 classrooms, 500 communities, and 100 libraries around the world.  This is something I believe so strongly in and I hope as bloggers (which makes every single one of us writers) you feel the same.
