Storytelling in 30 Photos ~ Photo Twenty Two

22. A picture that makes me sad.

Sigh.  This picture.

These 2 girls with me were my two BEST friends.  Junior high, high school, college and beyond - we had each other's backs.  We went through a lot together and I loved having two people that I shared such a history with.

This picture was taken during our last weekend together before going off to different colleges.  We went to my parents' cabin for the weekend and hung out, watched movies, worked on each other's scrapbooks and just enjoyed our last weekend together.  I remember after my parents left to bring them home I just stood in m bedroom and cried.  The idea of not seeing them every day was really hard for me.

And although we remained friends for years after high school I ended up having a falling out with them a few years ago and we stopped being friends.  And that... makes me sad.

It's always sad to lose close friends; nevertheless, this photograph of the three of you is adorable! :)

This makes me miss my HS friends! My 4 best friends were named Catie, Katie, Katie and Rachel. No joke!

Aaaaah, sad story behind a happy pic ♥

Ocean Dreams

Cute pic but I know, losing friends is hard. I guess with change comes friends for different seasons of life!

What do you think would happen if you reached out to them now? I don't think any issue is too big to resolve.

So sorry girl. Pictures like this one are fabulous, they put you back into good ol' times, but at the same time like right now...they kind of make you sad, too.

Hugs.

I have a picture just like this, and friends I miss... but it can't ever be the same... sigh

I have a few pics like this that make me sad too! Luckily my HS bestie hasn't been able to get away from me! (she's tried lol) Some of the girls are on FB but I know it's just to be mutually nosy! haha.

Crazy Shenanigans-JMO

just remember everything happens for a reason!

The Blonde Duck

Maybe it just meant you were meant to find new friends, or maybe you'll connect now!

I've had similar experiences, sadly more than once, but I find that sometimes it's best just to let go (lol this is probably why I don't have too many friends!)

missy.

i know that feeling, i'm sorry love.

It's so hard losing good friends. But I think that in life we often lose some to make way for other, more meaningful relationships.
