The 50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind - Part 4

16.  How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy?  Because we're all different, of course.  Coffee makes me happy because I'm obsessed with it and worked in a coffee shop for 5 years.  But someone who has never had coffee isn't going to say that coffee makes them happy.  Different strokes for different folks.
17.  What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?  What’s holding you back?  I've always wanted to swim with dolphins.  I don't even know why I haven't done it yet, I've been in situations in which I totally could.  I just never have.  I guess the next time I'm on vacation I just need to DO IT, right?
18.  Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?  Yes.  I have so many anger in me.  Anger with Dustin because I blame him for our divorce.  Anger with my parents for the way they treat me.  Anger with old friends that I feel treated me wrong.  I want so much to let go of it all and just get over it.  You can't decide how people treat you and feel about you.  You can only change how YOU handle it.  I just want to push the anger away and be happy with what I have.  I guess I'm just not there yet.
19.  If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?  I always say I am not made for Wisconsin (or the Midwest, for that matter) because I hate the snow and cold.  I'd love to live somewhere in which it never gets colder than 40 degrees and never gets that kind of humid hot in which you feel you're going to melt the moment you step outside.  So where is that?  No idea.  If someone would be kind enough to tell me that'd be great!
20.  Do you push the elevator button more than once?  Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?  No, not with the elevator.  But at work when I'm trying to send an order back to the cooks I press the send button a million times.  And nope, it never gets the order sent back faster.  But for some reason it does make me feel better!

Haha to #20.... I always do..don't know why but it does make you feel better! lol

I LOVE the fact that you worked at a coffee shop - it sounds like such a charming location to spend afternoons. And I imagine you meet so many interesting people! :)

Ha.. maybe once you address the anger issues you spoke of you'll be able to lay off the button pushing... in all, the world will be a less angry place :-P

Oh, and I've swam with Dolphins before... you MUST do it next time you can. Even if it's out of your price range... take on the debt for it, it'll be worth it!

Swimming with the dolphins...have always wanted to do that too! Oh and you should check out San's so nice! Still gets cool with the occasional cold day and stays warm with the occasional hot day but the weather is nothing like here in VA.

I'm totally guilty of pressing the elevator button a million times!

I think i'm the reason why
I stop myself from doing things, i'm the worse person at not believing in myself and thus stops me from doing the things I want to do, sadly.

Dancing Branflake

Live in California with me! Over here it's never colder than 50 and the summers are awesome.

i totally have some anger i need to let go of too. but even when i get past it, it seems to sneak up again every now and then. some day.

Another great set of questions. I am a notorious grudge-holder and it can be toxic. Really loving this series love!

I love the last question -- I do that without even realizing it! HA! :)

Swimming with dolphins would be awesome but you have to be careful and make sure the site is legit. There are so many companies that offer that experience and they are just horrendous to the dolphins not to mention the way they catch the dolphins is horrible. Have you ever seen The Cove? Its insanely depressing but important watch. Sorry if I just totally bummed you out

Love it. Got to do this. # 17 is great. I wish to do the same some day.

As a kid, I watched my mom walk down to the end of our driveway, open up the trashcan, and talk to it. It turns out she was literally throwing away everything she was angry about, and it changed that period in my parents' marriage so profoundly. Now might not be the time to do it, but it could help someday.

Sounds like a tropical vacay should go on your to do list for sure...Mine too. Ha!

GAH! 18 is such a hard one to do in practice.

i swam with dolphins--it was just like i had hoped!

the last one is cracking me up (: i don't like cold\snow either, krysten!

Know anyone in need of a new computer to step up their blogging game? Help a girl sell her Macbook Air when things are a little tough! Thanks!

You should totally move to the Pacific Northwest. It does get colder than 40 occasionally. But never for very long and if it snows everything shuts down. Think about it. :)

I know what you mean about holding anger in towards people who have treated you badly. I came to Cambodia with anger at two friends who I felt treated my wrong. Somehow being here made me realize that my anger wasn't doing anything but upsetting me, and I was able to let go of it. It's nice not to feel so much anger when I think about them now. It still makes me sad how I was treated, but my anger wasn't making them pay for what they did, it was only hurting me. Hopefully something will happen that will help you release your anger too.

part of letting go of anger is forgiveness, and it's really hard to do when you know they will never issue an apology. Sometimes, you have to forgive for your own good. Chin up, Krysten! Life is grand! :D
