Which is why when I discovered Vivien Frank I fell in love. I mean for real this shop has a little something for everyone - whether you're into leather, gemstones or friendship bracelets. I wanted to know more about this delicious shop so I asked Simona, the brains behind Vivien Frank, a few questions:
- Where did you come up with the name for your shop? It is an homage to my children who are named Vivien and Frank.
- What or who are your inspirations? I love the bohemian philosophy, early seventies music and the clothes that inspire colors, pattern and lots of fringes. The idea behind being free and adventurous and fighting for one's rights has inspires my work. All forms of art and fashion is an inspiration.
- What are 3 of your favorite items from your shop? My favorite items are the Karma bracelets, the triple one after the other wraps, the Essential stacking bracelet and not to forget the TINY initial necklace! That one is too so pretty!
- Where do you see yourself and your shop at this time next year? I hope to continue creating my pieces by hand. Each detail is checked before a piece is shipped out. I am enjoying my small studio in Zurich.
- What is one piece of advice you would give to aspiring handmade shop owners? Create what you love. I wear every single piece that I design. I couldn't make something that I wouldn't wear myself. Spend a little more on good quality material. It is always worth it :)
