Write On

{via}

Oh goodness.

So I'll admit that I, for lack of better words, sucked it up at NaNoWriMo this year.  I got maybe a 3rd of the way through and then the creative juices just ran dry.  It was a bummer considering that I've done it 3 years in a row but sometimes that happens I suppose.

But I have all the ideas right now.  So I'm going to get writing.  Maybe something amazing will come of it?

Wish me luck!

Oh, I bet this will be good! I love that you are taking on this passion of yours. It doesn't have to be November. You'll write just as beautifully if not more in January.

I always failed miserably at NaBloPoMo. I'm just not good at prioritizing my time for it! We all have our off times. I hope you find the inspiration you're looking for and can get back into the swing of writing!

If at first you don't succeed, try try again?

But seriously, there's no sense forcing yourself to write when the mood just isn't there!

Sometimes you just have to wait for inspiration to come your way. Mix it up and get outside, something will come your way! Good luck love :)

It is better to write when the muse sizzles than just forcing it. Now, that you have a story and creative ideas, I am sure it will flow more smoothly. Just commit to writing each day -- even if it is only one sentence -- and like Hemingway, always stop when you know what the next scene will be. Your unconscious will be working on it as you sleep -- Roland

You have to embrace the creative ruts and the highs - they both have a purpose :-) too bad it didn't correspond with Nano, but write anyway!

I think even attempting it is awesome!

Creativity may be a muscle, but it can be terribly stubborn: so glad your ideas are flowing!

That's so awesome that you tried it and you're planning to do it again Krysten! It takes practice, courage and discipline, and you have all 3. There's a book by Stephen King on writing that I highly recommend. I'm sure you'd love it.
